At Clos Pons winery, we welcome summer 2021 with a refreshing new product, Clos Pons Vermouth.
Made with Red Grenache aged in oak barrels, this elegant and complex Clos Pons Vermouth will not leave you indifferent.
In it we wanted to contribute everything that our territory of Les Garrigues, in Catalonia, gives us. Its key is in the natural maceration of our Garnacha from the farm with native botanicals of the area, such as fennel, saffron, olive leaf, rosemary, “madroño” leaf and many more.
With this we have achieved a red vermouth made on the basis of wine with all the character of Les Garrigues, in Catalonia.
This vermouth has been developed during the last year, making a meticulous study of the most characteristic botanical of our area and making combinations to choose the one that could work best. So we have created from scratch a vermouth with touches of wood and balsamic forest herbs.
Apart from its characteristic botanical part, one of the things that we were clear from the beginning was that we wanted to give texture to this vermouth. Hence, we decided to use the Garnacha negra as a base to make it, achieving a ruby-colored vermouth with citrus touches, aromatic and very elegant.
We have no doubt that it will be a perfect appetizer for any meeting with friends as well as to complete our noon visits to the winery. A vermouth that is served in wine glass, with ice and with an orange slice.
