Clos Pons Collection Wines are the gift that our vineyard offers us in every harvest. These are unique wines with very limited production. They are selected by our winemaker Martí Magriñá, the result of the particularity of our terroir and the conditions of each vintage. They are wines that are born sporadically only in exceptional vintages and therefore have a maximum quality.
This is the case of Cingles 2018, a white wine made exclusively from White Grenache from the farm that shares it’s name “els Cingles”, located 510 meters above the sea level in Clos Pons, l’Albagés. The vineyard’s agriculture is organic and characterized by a clay like calcareous soil.
Harvested and manually selected on September 26, 2018 and fruit of a vintage with a good rainfall of 575 l/m2 and low temperatures, this wine has been aged for 5 months in Damy and Fruité barrels.
The result has been this spectacular Collection wine with high minerality, an intense aroma with tropical notes and lots of white fruit. A fresh, energetic and nervous wine.
As our winemaker, says, it will be ideal to pair with rice, smoked and roasted fish, pasta, cheese, seafood and shellfish.
We will serve it at a temperature of about 10ºC, in this way we can clearly appreciate its structure and aromas.
