This June, on one of the recently acquired estates by the Pons family, we planted 32 hectares of the Lecciana variety, a new estate located in Castelldans (Spain), on the Cogul road.
As we mentioned in previous posts, in the upcoming PONS plantations, we were going to implement the Smartree cultivation model, an innovative cultivation model.
This initiative reinforces our commitment to sustainable development and quality agriculture. The choice of the Lecciana variety is not a coincidence but the result of years of research in our varietal garden.
The Lecciana variety is highly appreciated for its numerous qualities and benefits. It stands out for its high polyphenol content, natural compounds known for their powerful antioxidant properties. It is a very herbaceous oil, with clear spicy notes and a unique almond sweetness. It is an oil with great personality, low acidity, and excellent organoleptic stability.
