Pons has started its harvest 15 days earlier than expected due to the high temperatures that cause the product to ripen more quickly. Pons aims to obtain first harvest oils, very green and early. They have almost 300 hectares, up to 5 different varieties of olives, and the aim is to be self-sufficient.
Pons has inaugurated a new mill in L´Albagés, the furthest olive tree is 12 kilometres away, which added to the biotechnology of the new facilities with up to 3 mills, 8 mixers and 2 extractor decanters. This allows to work with a very fresh product, from the field to the final result, in no more than 2 hours.
Always with the consumer in mind, the company is looking for a quality product with a stabilisation in the price of its oils.
